Global Afrika Ubuntu Indaba Background Information/Content:
African Visionaries:
“I dream of a new world and a new humanity: a humanity
who lives life as an expression of our uBuntu.
Umuntu Ngumuntu Ngabantu. I am because we are.
We are all one. I encourage you to remember who you
are: your oneness and highest potential, and to see that
in the other.... to celebrate the wonder of our diversity,
and most important to go and be who you are. This is
our common legacy.”
Archbishop Desmond Tutu
Vision of Oneness Afrika
In South Africa, uBuntu is recognised as the African expression of Oneness. A sense of generosity, a spirit of unity, the essence of humanity. Africa has known this truth all along, even though many of her children have forgotten. Reclaiming the values of uBuntu/Oneness is inclusive of the universe and of all of life, and can be traced back to our ancient origins with Africa as the Cradle of Humankind. uBuntu is our ancient spiritual philosophy that reminds us of our deep inter-connectedness, inter-relatedness, and inter-dependence.
What is required for Africans and the rest of the human family, at this time, is to remember who we are. That we are One in All. It is a challenge, but Africa is positioned to lead the way if she chooses to. South Africa being a leading country in Africa on many levels, has chosen to become a frontrunner to remind all the people of Africa of our spiritual heritage and the responsibility that comes with it. South Africa is appropriately positioned to spearhead this process, in part because South Africa is a turning-point country and a global example of transformation.
Since the Founding of Oneness South Africa 2006 (now Oneness Afrika) we knew from the onset that we were going to be part of the concurrent awakening of both these concepts in South Africa, Africa and the World.
It is, therefore, the vision of Oneness Afrika to make an unprecedented contribution to the Spiritual Rebirth of the African Continent and the rest of the World. In birthing the Global Afrika uBuntu Programme (2011– 2035), Oneness Afrika has set its vision in action. This programme is aligned with many ancient predictions, prophecies and more recently the vision of Sri AmmaBhagavan, that the African Spiritual Renaissance will lead the way for a Global Spiritual Renaissance, leading humanity into the Golden Age.
The Global Afrika uBuntu Programme is a unique vehicle to bring about such an opportunity. With a very active Oneness Family in South Africa and ten other African countries, the vision of Oneness Afrika is to assist the rest of Africa in shifting into a new way of living by the year 2035.
